Should You Use Technology Or Face To Face To Build Your Business?

Hey this is Steve Fisher from the Residual Millionaire Blog and today I want to talk to you about connecting with your team and answer the question, “Should I build my business with technology or face to face?”

Alright, how many of you saw the movie Radio? I love the part where the coach asks Cuba Gooding Jr if he wants apple pie or strawberry pie and Radio responds, “Both!”

Well that’s your answer here as well, but I also want to add that I believe if you are just doing one of these you are losing. In other words, if you choose to just use technology and you are not building real relationships by connecting in person, you’re losing and if you choose to just build your business with just face to face and through relationships and you’re not leveraging technology, you are losing.

As I look back on my business, there’s no doubt about it, I built the majority of my network marketing business through face to face relationship marketing… The old fashioned way, and it definitely works, we’ve been able to build a team of over 65,000 associates. But I gotta be honest, I busted my butt and spent a lot of time doing things that could’ve been avoided with the tools we have today. As the internet, social media, and technology have evolved, the way and the speed that you can build a team has changed as well.

As I mentioned in a previous video, you can literally attract people to you that are looking for what you have or the lifestyle that you are living by using the internet to put value out into the marketplace and then you can use the tools we have today to connect with them and their team, train them, and even be part of special occasions no matter where they live in the world!

I’ve used Skype for quite a while to be “Skyped” into home meetings or even a public meeting with my team. But another new tool that I like even better is Zoom. You can simply go to this link http://bit.ly/2iEPTkQ and download the app for zoom and even upgrade if you have a team and want the better perks that it comes with. This is a powerful tool that allows you to see everyone that joins the meeting through their video camera and you can share your desktop and even videos with everyone that joins your meeting. It’s a great tool to meet your new team members with immediately after they join simply by sending them your zoom link and having them join you in a video conference. You can even walk them through how to get everything set up and how to get off to a great start in their new business. Just like Skype, your team can Zoom you into their home meetings or public meetings for you to say a few words to everyone or to share your story or even to do training with the team and the beautiful thing is you don’t even have to leave you home! Think about how much you can get done from the comfort of your own home.

Now, having said all of that, as great as I believe these tools and the internet are and as strongly as I believe you better be using them, I also just as strongly believe that real relationships are just as important. That means you also need to schedule time to go actually meet your team and have that personal time with them to build those relationships. That’s the glue that will ultimately keep your team together and keep them committed to you.
