Welcome to the Residual Millionaire Podcast, where it’s all about learning how to create passive, residual income now so you can live The Residual Life later! My name is Steve Fisher, former corporate employee turned Lifestyle entrepreneur and each week we bring you an inspiring person or message to help you on your journey of building YOUR Residual LIFE. Thanks for spending some time with me today and let’s get this party started.

Alright… I am so excited that you’ve joined me here. This is the first episode of the Residual Millionaire Podcast and I am really pumped up to finally be launching this and providing this venue for learning the skills, the strategies, and the mindset that it takes to be successful in building a passive, residual income and a life of freedom. I can’t believe it’s finally here. I’ve been talking about doing this podcast for a long time and I really want to thank you for your patience and support along the way and for taking time out of your busy schedule to listen to the podcast.

Today’s podcast will be a little different from the norm as I’ll be going over a quick introduction of who I am, my journey, the purpose of this show, and my definition of a Residual Millionaire. Then I’ll discuss the formalities of the show, what you can expect in future episodes and why you should be a regular listener of the show. I really believe this podcast is gonna be a great resource and learning venue for all of us and I couldn’t be more excited about hosting it!

So let me start by telling you a little bit about my background and my journey. I’m just a regular guy, I don’t have an MBA or anything that really qualified me to succeed in business. I was married at the young age of 20 to my high school sweetheart, Diane. 28 years later, we’re still married today and have 3 beautiful girls and a Son-in-law.

I used to work a 9-5 job at a major airline. I actually started out as a baggage handler and spent years of my life, working out in the Texas heat and cold, just trying to provide for my young family. At the time, I was doing what I felt like I had to do. I had a severe back injury at the age of 30 and my doctor told me if I kept doing what I was doing, I wouldn’t be able to walk when I was 55. I put in for a management position, managing the union that I used to be a part of (Which, by the way, is not for the weak of heart!). But it was in that position that I gained a lot of experience in the different departments and When 9/11 happened, I was over the ticket counters at DFW… A day I will never forget. I eventually worked my way up to the corporate level as a Sr. Analyst of Airport Operations, but I knew I was on a path that I didn’t want to be on. I had been through 3 different layoffs and I just happened to be the one that was left. I had taken pay cut after pay cut and I knew I wanted something different. I was really tired of trading hours for dollars. I wanted something more! I wanted to have a great life! I wanted to have more time with my family, more money to do the things that I loved to do and I wanted to be able to contribute and help others.

It was at this time that someone that I had a great deal of respect for shared a network marketing opportunity with me. He was a vice president with a major international company and he also owned several franchises. He was already one of my business mentors. What he shared with me made total sense, the timing was right, and I knew the company was going to be launching in a few months. I jumped in with both feet. I knew the company was launching in Jan of 2005, but what I didn’t know was that I was going to get laid off from my 17-year career the Wednesday before Christmas of 2004. My wife was a stay at home mom and we had 3 girls, a house, and 2 cars. It was a scary time around my house and I resolved in my mind, “This will never happen to me again.” I can tell you, it was a very strong resolution. I believed in what I had my hands on, I put my head down, and I went to work. I built like crazy… Like there was no tomorrow, which by the way I’ve learned is one of the keys to success.

Fast-forward 10 years and it was life-changing for me. I became a top earner in the company, built a team of over 65,000 associates, and I’ve been blessed to make millions of dollars.

As I grew my network marketing business and my residual income, I got hooked and I started looking for additional ways to create residual income. Since I had this resolution to never be put in that bad position again, I was determined to be good with the money that I made and to get my family in a position where we would never have to worry about money again. In 2013 I published my first book, Residual Millionaire, and it went to #1 on Amazon in the network marketing category. I also started the Residual Millionaire Blog where I could share my experiences and knowledge online. Over the years, I’ve been able to create residual income through network marketing, online marketing, ebooks, and real estate investing. These all worked together to create synergy in my finances and I began to see how important it was to implement these different strategies.

I’m new in the online marketing and real estate investing spaces, but I’m actively building my online business and my real estate portfolio, so I’m excited about learning from many of the different leaders that I’ll be interviewing as well. As I build up my online marketing business, my podcast, and my real estate investing portfolio, you’ll get to learn with me and kind of watch over my shoulder.

Let me first of all say, this podcast is not about me or what I’ve done. I’ve been listening to podcasts every morning during my workout for quite some time. I’m always learning and I love learning from different entrepreneurs that have created huge residual incomes. I love hearing their stories, the obstacles they overcame, and their secrets to success. I realized that podcasts were a great way to do that. I’ve learned a tremendous amount from great leaders like Eric Worre, Pat Flynn, Ray Higdon, Michael Hyatt and John Lee Dumas just to name a few. They have taken their expertise to another level through their podcasts and have literally been able to reach and help millions of people all over the world. You can find almost any niche or topic that you want through podcasts and they’re free to listen to and usually commercial free. The great thing about podcasts is you can multitask while you’re listening. You can be exercising, walking, running, working in the yard, or driving in your car. As a host, it’s also a fantastic way to connect with your audience and provide another avenue of value.

I realized there was no one really mixing the topics of creating residual income businesses through network marketing, online marketing, and real estate investing and how personal development determines your level of success in each of these. I wanted to not only teach the skills, the strategies, and the mindset that it takes to succeed in growing your business, your brand, and most importantly your residual income, but I also wanted to provide a venue for personal development that will give you the inspiration and motivation needed to succeed. Lastly, I believe it’s so important to learn how to be wise with the money you make. I see so many people that as they make money, they simply raise their standard of living and become broke at another level. We will have a major focus on finances here on the Residual Millionaire blog. I’m a big believer that money demands a good steward. If you’re not a good steward of money, more money is not going to help you.

I will be interviewing experts that will bring tremendous value to your business and your ability to keep and grow the money that you make! My goal is to create a community where you’ll be able to learn some of the BEST IDEAS from the BEST LEADERS on the planet. I’ll be interviewing leaders from different backgrounds, industries, and skill sets that have found ways to generate significant residual income and therefore found the fountain of youth… Time freedom!

I’ll be pulling in some of the top experts from the network marketing, online marketing, real estate, and personal development industries. They’ll be sharing real-time secrets with you that will take you to another level and help you explode your business and your income. You know, there’s nothing like learning from leaders that are actually in the trenches with you and that have already made millions of dollars. I’ll be calling these interviews Residual Millionaire Interviews and these leaders are the best of the best. They have proven track records and they’ve learned a lot of lessons the hard way. So they know what works and what doesn’t work. This can, OBVIOUSLY, save all of us time, effort, and lots of heartache!

In between those Residual Millionaire Interviews, I’ll be devoting the entire podcast to a specific topic that will help you in your quest to build residual income or your personal development. I’ve always taught that YOU are the product, so we’ll also have an extreme focus on personal development here on the Residual Millionaire Podcast so that all of us can be operating at our full potential and clicking on all cylinders.

So you may be asking, why the name Residual Millionaire and what is a Residual Millionaire. Here’s my definition of a Residual Millionaire is someone who has a residual income equal to what they would be receiving on a monthly basis if they had one million dollars in the bank.

At 3% interest, that would be $2,500 per month. In my opinion and experience, it’s a lot easier to create a residual income of $2,500 per month than it is to get a million dollars in the bank! My definition of financial independence is when you have a residual income that exceeds your expenses. Now, there’s two sides to that, you have to build a residual income and then you have to keep your expenses below that! Once you can do that, you’ve created a situation where you can experience total time freedom and that my friends is why we are here.

I hope to be able to pass on to you all that I’ve learned over the last 20 years and also introduce you to many other great leaders that that have been able to create significant residual incomes who will bring you extreme value. I hope at least one or many of my episodes will inspire you to greatness and convey the importance of building YOUR Residual Life.

I want to leave you with one tip that you can take away from this first session… That is to step out of your comfort zone and get started on your journey of building residual income by doing something that scares you. I’ll be honest with you, the thought of launching this podcast scared me to death, it was definitely outside of my comfort zone and quite overwhelming. But I’ve learned that outside of my comfort zone is typically where all the magic happens. When you step into something new that forces you to learn new skills and meet new people your network and abilities begin to grow and when your network and abilities grow, typically so does your income.

Start thinking residually. Start thinking of how you can begin creating MORE residual income… How you can meet and learn from others who have the lifestyle that you desire. Be committed long-term. If it becomes one of your main focuses and you’re willing to put some hard work in up front, you’ll begin to see the value over time. You’ll begin to create a synergy in your finances that can set you free. You’ll begin to see how you too can live The Residual Life.
