Hey, this is Steve Fisher, Author of Residual Millionaire, and today I want to talk to you about one of the most important topics when it comes to building your network marketing business… Prospecting and Recruiting. Have you run out of warm market contacts? Are you struggling with finding people to talk to? Today we’re going to take a deep dive into these topics and I’m going to share some keys to ramping up your prospecting and recruiting efforts! Enjoy this video and start practicing what I share, these are golden nuggets.
There’s no doubt, people make two major mistakes in network marketing when it comes to prospecting and recruiting:
#1 – They don’t talk to or prospect enough people.
#2 – They say too much to the ones they do talk to.
Recruiting really is the most important part of our business, but it’s rarely taught in the right way… You hear all kinds of crazy things like “Just be ignorance on fire” and “Talk to anything that can fog a mirror.” But let’s get real… Is that really how you want to build a business? Do you want just anyone on your team?
I didn’t. I wanted to build a team of leaders… World-class leaders. I didn’t want to drag people with me, I wanted to attract people that wanted to run with me. I’ve used the techniques that I’m teaching you today to recruit over 100 people personally and that has grown to a team of over 65,000.
I want to give you some tips today on prospecting and recruiting and it really doesn’t matter whether you are talking about warm market, cold market, online, or offline. To be honest with you, if you are doing things differently online than you would do offline, you are making a grave mistake. The principles of success are the same both online and offline.
First of all, know that people fail to recruit people and build a team because they fail to focus on the needs, wants, and desires of their prospects and team members! Be careful not to let your ego get in the way and value your desires more than you value helping others. Be authentic and real with your prospects.
As yourself this question… “Do you want to become an expert at prospecting and recruiting?”
Here’s some tips:
1. Get good at asking what your prospect needs and wants.
Listen well when they are talking and answering those questions
2. Always dig a little deeper… Ask more digging questions to their answers.
Get quicker at asking questions and stop being the one talking the whole time…
3. Become a problem solver.
Let them know you have the solution to their needs and wants!
This is NOT about hard-selling, it’s about getting people to believe it’s their idea, not your idea. You simply learn to ask the right questions and then provide solutions to their problems, their needs, and their wants.
Always remember this, money comes in abundance to those who solve problems and serve others.
Start making it a priority in your life to serve and be an inspiration to others. This attracts people to you. If you’re struggling to find people to talk to, it’s because you are being selfish and not giving enough of yourself! You’re worried about what people will think of you rather than being focused on actually impacting and helping others.
Start giving! Giving of your time, giving of your knowledge, giving of your solutions. Giving of your attitude. Giving of your wisdom.
After you’ve built some rapport, you’ll want to start asking some appointment setting questions like:
“Just throwing this it out there, would you be interested in a side project that doesn’t interfere with what you are currently doing if it could create some passive, residual income for you and allow you to solve ___________? (Whatever hot spots they shared with you.)
Now, don’t be satisfied with that… Try to learn more. If their answer is positive, say, “Just curious, why would you be interested? Has the economy affected you in your business or job? Why would you be open to making more money right now? I’m just curious.”
Here’s the deal, stop selling so fast and start learning more. Learn to say less to more people. Dig for their need. If you know their true needs, problems, and wants before you give them a presentation, you are in the drivers seat!
You might even share how many people you’ve been able to help and appeal to their higher purpose by asking, “Do you ever get the feeling that you were meant to help other people? Do you enjoy helping people make their lives better?
You see, it’s not all about just making money. There are some amazing benefits that come along with serving and helping others. Studies have proven the #1 way to be happy is to help and inspire others.
We get to do that. I love doing that in my business and I love doing it here on the Residual Millionaire Blog. I hope you got value out of this today and if so, please do me a favor and share it on social media… That would be awesome! Let’s see how many people we can help and inspire!
